Role: R&D Manager/ Principal Engineer
At a time of significant growth, we are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead our research and development activities in the neurovascular care space. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of disease state and be able to generate creative product solutions to address unmet needs.
* Responsible for lifecycle management (LCM) activities for our portfolio of products.
* Cross project ownership of sustaining design and development, working with design engineers to identify solutions to meet product performance requirements while leveraging existing capabilities to meet cost targets.
* Provide technical leadership and take ownership of critical technical tasks in the execution of product development projects.
* Identify and manage technical risk across projects, in partnership with project leads.
* Develop test capability to evaluate product performance and safety requirements.
* Support the development of processes for new products.
* Define project goals, plans, and budget.
* Report progress across the organisation.
Requirements
* Strong technical leadership capability in the development of new products, expert understanding of disease state and generating creative product solutions to address unmet needs.
* Excellent technical problem solving and analytical ability.
* Strong metals and catheter design, development and technical ability is essential, based on a solid foundation of fundamental engineering principles.
* Specific experience on medical devices, cardiovascular or neurovascular implants or instruments.
* Creative problem solver.
* Highly motivated and an enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to work under own initiative and as a team player.
