What is the opportunity?As a high-performing Internal Audit team, GIA provides independent, challenging, and risk-focused assurance, insight, and opinions to the Group, supporting its strategic objectives.
In this role, you will lead assurance activities and offer subject matter expertise on key risks.
This position reports to the Head of Audit and involves developing relationships across the organization.
In this role, you will:Act as the Senior Risk Expert for Privacy RiskMonitor ongoing activities and contribute to periodic audit assessments of the control environment related to your assigned risk areaDeliver effective audit opinions adaptively in a dynamic environmentLead individual assurance projects from scoping to reportingBuild sustainable relationships within the Bank of IrelandCollaborate with leadership to develop and implement assurance programs on key risksEvaluate internal controls and processes, providing objective, risk-based assurance through audits/reviewsMaintain an in-depth understanding of the key priorities and challenges related to your risksWhat will make you stand out?Extensive subject matter expertise in the relevant risk areasSignificant internal audit experience in a financial services environment within a large, complex organizationAdvanced reporting, critical thinking, and communication skills for diverse audiencesAbility to navigate governance processes and work cross-functionallyStrong knowledge of Bank of Ireland and commercial acumenPeople management skills and experience in building high-performing teamsAdditional knowledge in areas such as IT, transaction processing, cloud, program risk, privacy, TPRM, and data management is advantageous.
