Electrical Engineer Consultant
Summary
Electrical Engineer Consultant providing technical electrical design support for a new Process Area CAPEX project at Regeneron's Raheen site. The role also supports small capital projects and ongoing site operations within a regulated biopharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities
1. Provide design and maintenance support for LV systems including lighting, general services, UPS, protection settings, and arc flash studies.
2. Design and support ELV systems including fire alarm, data points, and building automation systems.
3. Manage and deliver small electrical infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
4. Support design reviews, site acceptance testing, and installation of electrical equipment.
5. Prepare, update, and maintain electrical drawings and associated technical documentation.
6. Design and specify cGMP-compliant electrical, instrumentation, and process control systems.
7. Manage and support electrical systems connected to the business IT network.
8. Support the validation function through preparation of design documentation and assistance with protocol execution.
9. Investigate electrical equipment and control system anomalies, including power quality events.
10. Prepare engineering assessments and execute modification and change control documentation.
11. Supervise electrical contractors and ensure works are completed to the required quality and safety standards.
12. Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and manage all electrical health and safety requirements on site.
13. Maintain a safe, clean working environment by enforcing site procedures, policies, and regulations.
14. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements to maintain company standards and reputation.
Requirements
15. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
16. Minimum of 4 years' experience in an electrical engineering role, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments.
17. Strong knowledge of LV and ELV electrical systems and associated standards.
18. Experience working in cGMP environments and supporting CAPEX projects.
19. Familiarity with validation processes, change control, and regulated documentation practices.
20. Proven ability to manage contractors and coordinate site-based electrical activities.
21. Good understanding of health and safety requirements, risk assessments, and method statements.
22. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
