Objective of the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Conference Manager will ensure the smooth running of all conferences in the hotel, guaranteeing the highest quality service for guests at meetings and events.
Responsibilities
Ensure customers receive excellent service during conferences and meetings
Responsible for correct rostering within the department
Engage with guests and act upon guest feedback, encouraging customer reviews
Ensure SOPs are updated and all team members are fully trained
Provide team training on standards and customer service
Work alongside and support the Operations Manager in departmental projects and initiatives
Motivate and create an engaging work environment for the team
Possess excellent product knowledge and share it
Guide and mentor team members to ensure continued learning and development
Qualifications
2 years of previous experience in a similar role
Self‑motivated with a positive attitude
Passionate about hospitality and excellent service
Flexible with hours and own transport
Strong interpersonal, leadership, time‑management and organisational skills
