Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced national sales manager to set and agree the joint business plans, objectives, and ongoing agendas for a range of National Accounts, coupled with interacting within the business to deliver sales and customer propositions that will support the overall commercial strategy through driving new business within the customer base but also showing excellence in account management of existing business.
About the role
Develop a proactive relationship culture with all Island of Ireland customers to fill distribution gaps, obtain listings/distribution for new lines, improve brand positioning in store, agree activation plans, agree promotional plans at start of year and provide regular and proactive updates on stock availability.
Develop and implement relationship management plans for complex existing customer accounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decision makers and influencers within the customer organisation.
Manage the customer agenda through the account management process, ensuring that all relevant areas of the business are engaged, informed, and contributing to the success of the customer agenda.
Managing a direct report Key Account Manager who will be responsible for delivery of the Wine plan for key groups and Independents.
Identify optimal ways of working in the Channel and innovate to drive continuous improvement.
Prepare detailed and professional commercial proposals and quarterly performance decks for all key customers.
Interpreting market and customer insights to align to customer’s objectives and create mutual opportunities for us and our customers.
Regular reviews of ranges utilising category insight and market trend data to provide market leading category understanding as standard.
Build and develop customer & supplier relationships at buyer level in the account.
Build relationships with key suppliers, be the main point of contact for suppliers on the commercial elements of the business, prepare decks for monthly and quarterly reviews and seek new product lines to maximise category opportunities.
About you
Given the primary focus of the role, a proven track record of working at a National Account level within FMCG sales is essential, with working knowledge of the global wine market and supply base being highly desirable.
Previous people management desirable.

Cross team networking and demonstrable ability to elevate where necessary.
Advanced Excel Skills.
Knowledge of off trade customers and their market context.
WSET qualifications and wine experience is highly advantageous.
