Your new role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting and improving a wide range of production machinery and facility equipment.
Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
Performing scheduled weekly, monthly and annual preventative maintenance on equipment and plant systems.
Responding quickly to machinery breakdowns, carrying out electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding to minimise downtime.
Completing maintenance documentation for internal and external audits.
Conducting audits of operator PM activities and ensuring all equipment operates safely and reliably.
Installing electrical cabling, containment systems, panels, fittings and related components.
Recommending and supporting replacement of obsolete or faulty assets.
Assisting with maintenance planning, forecasting and spare‑parts management.
Participating in planned Saturday shutdown activities and project work.
Working cross‑functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering, Lean and NPI teams to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
Supporting energy‑management initiatives, including energy audits and cost‑reduction measures.
Taking part in TPM events and assisting in system implementation.
Supervising contractors, supporting calibration tasks and assisting with equipment changeovers.
Supporting office moves, equipment relocation, and working with IT on cabling and server‑related tasks.
Ensuring strong health, safety and environmental compliance across all activities.
What you'll need to succeed
Electrical trade background with 5-8 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong electrical troubleshooting and fault‑finding skills.
Good mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing equipment.
Experience with Lean methodologies and TPM.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organisation, communication and computer skills.
Experience with maintenance planning and project delivery.
Competence in AutoCAD.
Desirable experience: robotics, CNC equipment, pneumatics.
