Biotech Equipment Engineer - Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Our client is a leading international Biotechnology company with a state of the art aseptic manufacturing facility in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin. The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment.
This is an excellent opportunity to get experience into Ireland's leading aseptic manufacturing plant. An exciting and rare opportunity has presented for an Aseptic Process Owner Lead.
Responsibilities
1. Realisation of projects / equipment;
2. Ensure that the design and construction meets all functional and regulatory requirements;
3. Complete complex or novel assignments requiring development of new and/or improved engineering techniques and procedures;
4. Coordinate company policies and develop procedures that affect multiple organizational units;
5. Employ advanced engineering techniques and/or modifications of advanced techniques within area of engineering expertise;
6. Maintain project budgets encompassing multiple disciplines for areas within assigned projects;
7. Supervise, coordinate and review work of a small staff of engineers;
8. Apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices outside of area of discipline expertise to a broad variety of assignments;
9. Coordinate the work of vendors, consultants and engineering firms on development of standard design documents;
10. Work with project managers to complete design and engineering projects within schedule, budget and quality constraints;
11. Develop technical solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and creativity;
12. Serve as a peer-recognized engineering technology specialist in at least one area, with overall responsibility for determining design methodologies in that area;
13. Support continuous improvements efforts;
14. Manage technical projects and provide functional leadership over supporting staff/engineers within projects;
15. Complete actions and project activities according to the established timelines;
16. Optimise cost/performance ratio within Engineering Department;
17. Contribute to the development of new techniques and procedures.
Requirements
1. BS degree in Engineering, science or related technological field or equivalent combination of education and experience;
2. 8+ years of relevant work experience with 6+ years in operations/manufacturing environment;
3. In-depth disciplinary knowledge;
4. Direct experience with regulated environments (e.g. GMP, OSHA, EPA);
5. Occasionally work outside office hours;
6. Fluency in English, both oral and written communication;
7. Good written and verbal communication skills;
8. Knowledge of personal computer software, specifically: MS Office;
Preferred Requirements
1. Experience with project management and managing relations;
2. Experience in working with different departments and groups in the organization;
3. Familiarity with validation processes and protocols;
4. Knowledge of personal computer software, specifically: SAP;
Package: Minimum 12 month contract with the possibility of an extension.
