Your role
As a Fleet & Network Airport Control in the Operations Control Department, you will report to the Lead Operations Control Duty Manager. The FCNAC team is responsible for EI and EUK operational fleet management and outstation airport handling of scheduled turnarounds in real-time to protect the customer experience. Our department helps drive Aer Lingus’ ambition by scheduling and pre-planning at minus 24hrs the daily order of departure development, considering commercial priorities, maintenance requirements, aircraft status, airport restrictions, and customer impact.
Your responsibilities
* Manage and monitor the fleet status and location, intervening to ensure on-time performance and customer satisfaction.
* Coordinate between OCC, Maintenance Control, Dublin HUB, EUK operations, and outstations for operational capability and scheduled maintenance.
* Design the optimal daily aircraft departure order, considering various operational factors.
* Serve as the main contact for real-time handling queries and ground support for down-route flights.
* Anticipate delays and coordinate mitigation actions, including communication with airports for quick turnarounds.
* Act as the operational link on the day between Aer Lingus and franchise/partner/ACMI operators, monitoring schedule adherence.
* Manage and safeguard the company's airport slot portfolio during operations.
* Monitor aircraft movements for schedule changes, cancellations, and to avoid fines.
* Ensure compliance with airport operational limitations and seek exemptions when necessary.
* Maintain accurate real-time data in AIMS and other IT systems for all stakeholders.
* Oversee network airports to ensure service standards and log operational issues.
Your qualifications and key criteria
* Ability to manage complex, unpredictable situations under pressure.
* Knowledge of airport operational regulations.
* Organized, proactive, with strong planning and multitasking skills.
* Ability to work under deadlines, energetic, and driven.
* Excellent administrative, communication, and computer skills, including MS Office and AIMS knowledge.
* Strong team player with effective interpersonal skills.
* Decision-making skills and initiative.
* Organizational skills, flexibility, and commitment.
* Fluent in English and able to pass security vetting or hold a valid airport pass.
