Location: Limerick City (3 days WFH) – Will move to fully remote
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be involved in the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems, working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside electrical engineers, civil/structural teams and project managers. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality designs from concept through to construction and handover.
Key Responsibilities
Design mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, ventilation and public health systems
Prepare mechanical calculations, specifications, schedules and technical documentation
Produce drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM)
Coordinate designs with electrical engineers and other disciplines
Assist with site inspections, surveys and technical support during construction
Respond to contractor queries and support issue resolution on site
Assist with tender documentation, technical submissions and design reviews
Maintain project documentation in line with ISO quality standards
Support commissioning and project handover processes
Requirements
Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
3–5 years’ experience in a similar mechanical design role
Strong technical understanding of building services systems
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM)
Proven experience across technical submittals, commissioning and handover
Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
