Key Role: HR Business Partner


Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned HR professional to join our team as an HR Business Partner. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering strategic and local initiatives, supporting recruitment and resource reallocation, and handling employee exits and grievances.

* You will work closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team to ensure relevant stakeholders are included in conversations, staffing requirements are understood and met, and employees are supported throughout their employment journey.
* Selection activities, including shortlisting, chairing selection boards, and providing candidate feedback, will be undertaken by you, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
* You will handle retirements, career break applications, resignations, and extension requests promptly, consulting with line management and addressing resulting staffing implications.
* In addition, you will coordinate employee exits under the company exit scheme with line management and HR, ensuring procedures are followed and all necessary partners are briefed.
* You will support training and advise line managers on company HR policies, including grievance management, discipline, dignity at work, and company union agreements, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
* Your expertise will also include preparing casework and supporting the Employee Relations Team with the presentation of cases at third-party bodies, such as the Workplace Relations Commission and Labour Court.
* You will collaborate with our HR colleagues to integrate HR processes, enabling effective service delivery to internal customers.
* Monitoring, analysing, and reporting activity in AMC, you will support the HR Manager West in addressing internal audit requirements.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have 3+ years' experience working in a HR role, with sound knowledge of HR practices and procedures. A degree in Human Resources Management is required, with CIPD recognition desirable but not essential.
