No Late Nights No Sundays Saturdays in rotation We are a family owned Pharmacy Group currently seeking to recruit a Pharmacy Technician at our Crosshaven store.
As pharmacy technician / Dispenser, you will undertake a variety of activities in the pharmacy under the supervision of a pharmacist.
This role is best suited to a positive, ambitious and focused person who is interested in learning and helping people with a wide variety of potential health concerns.
Responsibilities Assisting the pharmacist by accurately receiving, recording and assembling prescriptions and issuing the appropriate receipts.
Providing advice to customers about medicines and OTC products in a professional and empathetic manner, referring to the pharmacist where appropriate.
Maintaining records and ensuring documents pertaining to various schemes are kept up to date and in line with pharmacy procedures.
Maintaining stock control including; anticipating shortages and communicating to the team, placing orders with wholesalers and verifying receipts, stock rotation and removing outdated medicines.
Ensuring any errors or safety issues are brought to the attention of the Supervising Pharmacist.
Maintaining consistent professional standards at all times as directed by the Supervising Pharmacist and in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
Assisting the pharmacy team in all areas of the pharmacy operation including OTC sales and other front of counter duties.
Maintaining a good relationship with the pharmacy team, customers and other healthcare professionals Participating in training and development programmes as required.
Requirements IPU Pharmacy Technician course or equivalent completed or a number of years in a Dispensary Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and effective communication skills.
Ability to build relationships within a team.
Ability to prioritise and multi-task.
A positive and professional attitude with an appreciation of the importance of delivering excellent customer service and the ability to use discretion when addressing confidential information.
