Fund Accountant Associate Director FS Transformation - FAAS

Role Overview
The successful candidate will report directly to directors and partners in the business unit (BU). They bring strong experience in the financial services industry, particularly asset management. The role focuses on operational excellence, transition management and remediation, driving growth within the BU.
Detailed Responsibilities
Provide input into the design and implementation of the business unit strategy.
Work with senior team members to determine the products and services to be delivered.
Help identify target market, specific list of target entities and a go‑to‑market plan.
Introduce new or improved management information through the use of BI tools or monitoring of appropriate KPIs.
Support the development of a product to facilitate efficient and secure data migrations within the asset management sector, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and adherence to industry standards.
Business Development / Operational Excellence Requirements
Provide input into the design and implementation of the business unit strategy.
Collaborate with senior team members to define products and services to be delivered.
Identify target market and develop go‑to‑market plan.
Implement management information with new BI tools and KPI monitoring.
Develop product for secure data migration in asset management.
Technical Requirements
Strong experience in asset management, specifically fund administration.
Experience with funds such as mutual funds, UCITs, ICAVs, Private Equity, Private Credit, REITs, SPVs, Hedge Funds.
Experience with fund administration systems (Geneva, Investran, Allvue, eFront, Multifonds) and executing fund setups.
Analyse client operational environments and offer process improvement and automation solutions.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills under pressure.
In‑depth understanding of complex calculations (performance fee, waterfall, distribution).
Technical skills in SQL, Python, Power BI for system implementations, data migrations and KPI reporting.
Interest in automation and AI solutions (CoPilot, PowerQuery, Power Automate, Alteryx).
Engagement Delivery – Required
Assist in maintaining and developing key client relationships.
Assist with on‑shoring or off‑shoring of fund accounting and finance processes.
Design and implement project plans.
Diagnose, stabilise and redesign processes arising from critical business or P&L issues.
Ensure assignments are completed within budget and timeframe.
Lead data migration projects with minimal disruption.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and scalability.
Maintain a strong focus on change management.
Manage a team while on assignment.
Business awareness and client service passion.
Experience, Skills and Attributes
Deep knowledge of financial services / asset management industry.
Professional qualification(s) in data analytics, finance, investments, accounting or related discipline.
Experience in large‑scale projects in a multinational environment.
5-8 years of relevant experience in fund accounting / administration / asset management.
Proven track record in managing and executing data migrations.
Hands‑on experience with system implementations and technology integration.
Ability to navigate challenges during system upgrades or transitions.
Self‑motivated and collaborative mindset.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to mentor junior staff.
Self‑starter who works independently but knows when to seek assistance.
