Job Overview:
As a Social Care Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care to young people aged 13-17. The team will focus on building positive relationships and creating a therapeutic environment that encourages growth and development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with children, household activities, administration, health, safety, and professional development. This includes participating in the development and implementation of care and placement plans, promoting the rights and responsibilities of each child/young person, and encouraging attendance at school and appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement care and placement plans
* Promote the rights and responsibilities of each child/young person
* Encourage attendance at school and appointments
* Organise personal documents, arrangements, information, and finance on behalf of the young person
* Liaise with parents, families, and other agencies
* Attend meetings related to the care and development of the young person
* Engage in age-appropriate play and activities with each child/young person
* Prepare and provide well-balanced meals
* Undertake various aspects of home management
* Attend team meetings and report to the Social Care Manager
Requirements:
* Minimum three years' experience in a Children & Families Service or relevant environment
* Registered in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU
