Role Description
An exciting opportunity for a Supervising Pharmacist to join a well-established, community-focused pharmacy located off the Dublin Road, Portlaoise — just 20 mins from Kildare and 40-50 mins from Dublin with excellent accessibility and ample parking.
This is a genuinely flexible and adaptable role supported by a highly experienced and collaborative team.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy
Ensure full compliance with PSI standards and all regulatory requirements
Dispense medications accurately and safely
Provide patient consultations and clinical advice
Manage stock control and inventory systems
Maintain a safe, efficient, and organised working environment
Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy and front-of-shop staff
Uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional practice
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and dispensing practices
Excellent communication and patient counselling skills
Proven leadership ability and experience guiding pharmacy teams
Attention to detail with strong organisational skills
The ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced environment
Professional and calm handling of patient queries and clinical decisions
PSI Registration is essential.
Previous supervisory experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.
