Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Safety, Health & Environment (OSHE) professional to join our team. This role will be based onsite at a leading Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) in Ireland and the UK.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and develop the company's safety, health, and environmental management system.
* Ensure compliance with relevant safety, health, and environment legislation, standards, and licenses.
* Create and enforce safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
* Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
* Manage all safety and environmental training requirements and develop training programs for employees.
* Prepare and submit reports on safety and environmental performance to management and regulatory bodies.
* Oversee waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
* Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* A Train the Trainer or an equivalent training qualification.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in an OSHE role, preferably in an MRO or aviation environment.
* The ability to obtain and maintain a current valid airside pass/able to pass a 5-year security background check.
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
* Permitted to live and work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction.
