We're looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking FULL TIME Deli Assistant to join the team at The Gem, our busy shop in Howth.
This role is focused on the food side of the business – preparing and serving deli items, maintaining high hygiene standards, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the counter.

Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and serving deli items including sandwiches, rolls, and salads
* Maintaining strict food hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times
* Keeping the deli counter clean, stocked, and visually appealing
* Assisting with basic food prep, restocking ingredients, and tracking use-by dates
* Providing friendly, efficient customer service at the deli and checkout
* Operating the till and handling transactions when needed
* Supporting general cleaning, restocking, and daily close-down procedures
What We're Looking For
* Experience in a deli, café, or food prep role is a strong advantage
* Good knowledge of food hygiene and handling procedures
* A team player with great attention to detail
* Friendly and professional with strong customer service skills
* Able to work quickly and cleanly under pressure
* Punctual and dependable – weekend availability required
* Must have a valid permit to work in Ireland
