Facilities Technician Job Summary

Main Responsibilities:
* Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Conduct regular maintenance checks on mechanical and electrical systems to prevent unexpected downtime.
* Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests, resolving issues quickly and safely.
* Hands-on Tasks: Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks as required, using practical skills and problem-solving abilities.
* Fault-Finding and Diagnostics: Collaborate with colleagues to diagnose and resolve technical issues with building systems and equipment.
* Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring seamless site operations.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of technicians to ensure smooth site operations, sharing knowledge and expertise.
* Site Improvements: Support initiatives to improve facility reliability and performance, contributing to the overall success of the site.
* Contractor Liaison: Liaise with contractors and suppliers as needed, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
* A full or partial trade qualification in Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical Engineering.
* Proven experience in facilities, maintenance, or technical roles, demonstrating expertise and knowledge.
* Strong hands-on skills, with a practical, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, sharing ideas and expertise.
* Strong communication and documentation skills, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
* Flexibility to respond to on-call duties when scheduled, demonstrating adaptability and commitment.
