Overview
The Head of Marketing Capabilities is responsible for driving and implementing best-in-class marketing technology platforms and tools to deliver against Citi’s Services strategic vision of generating always-on and personalized marketing offers. The individual in this role will inform, plan, and deliver Citi Services Marketing’s technology stack to attract new prospects and engage our institutional clients. This role is critical to the organization as they will build a team to define and deliver on Citi Services’ MarTech roadmap that is designed for ease of use, automating, and speed to market to deliver seamless digital customer experiences that are personalized and relevant. The MarTech stack will enable data‑driven decisions with automation, streamline processes that drive operating efficiency and improve business performance across Citi Services line of business, while aligning to the centralized Marketing function.
Responsibilities
Define and drive the strategic agenda for the Services Marketing organization’s MarTech roadmap, mobilizing key partners across the end‑to‑end ecosystem inclusive of near‑term & long‑term priorities for critical domains such as campaign management & workflow, content management, channel management & delivery, audience management, etc.
Design and deliver prioritized MarTech stack capabilities and infrastructure strategy roadmap for the e‑Services Marketing organization aligned with the services business priorities, the initiatives of the Marketing Innovation and Content team within the centralized Marketing and Content organization, and firm‑wide policies and global regulations.
Secure necessary resources and processes to successfully deliver on the plan. Deliver Adobe content stack, enabling dynamic, personalized digital content and testing capabilities; build next‑generation offer management infrastructure to enable real‑time, always‑on, customer‑level promotional offers.
Manage the oversight of marketing platform capabilities and infrastructure that spans traditional and non‑digital marketing needs.
Track and manage the multi‑year and multi‑million investment for MarTech Book of Work.
Ensure proper control and operational models are designed, socialized, and adopted upon migration to new capabilities and establish automated reporting and analytics to deliver robust insights on transformation KPIs.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
Experience with leading digital transformation and integration of MarTech projects including Seismic, Workfront, Adobe AEM, offer management tools, Pega, Salesforce marketing cloud, etc.
Managerial experience with high‑performing marketing technology solution teams.
Experience with marketing technology architecture, backend systems, data dependencies, and front‑end interfaces required to implement and execute digital marketing campaigns.
Analytical and conceptual thinker with ability to operate in “white space” and with experience in both building strategy and executing it with demonstrable results and outcomes.
Customer‑centric and tech‑savvy product leader who has driven technical and operational teams to solutions focusing on delivering outstanding experiences supported by agile and efficient operational processes.
Executive leadership skills and demonstrated success in conveying complex concepts, solutions, and relevant business impacts to leadership audiences to gain support and sponsorship for projects.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with the ability to influence the development and execution of key strategies and initiatives.
Expert knowledge of the industry and direct competitors’ products and services to drive the commercial objectives of the business, as well as thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the business.
Act as a change‑management champion, educating the greater marketing organization on how to leverage new capabilities to drive their strategy.
Education
Bachelor’s/University degree; Master’s degree preferred.
