In this role, you will be leading the enterprise-wide technology risk governance framework for this client, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, internal policies, and strategic objectives. It's a very well-known and reputable client, and this role will be crucial to the team's success.
It oversees the design and execution of governance structures, Risk Appetite Metrics, and KRIs, while managing end-to-end board reporting and collaborating with second-line teams to ensure strong oversight and timely escalation of risks.
Key Skills:
Success in this role requires strong expertise in technology risk governance, risk frameworks, and metrics development (including KRIs and Risk Appetite Metrics). Candidates must be able to design and maintain enterprise-level governance structures, interpret and align with regulatory requirements, and manage complex board-level reporting.
Additional strengths include policy and standards management, operational resilience knowledge, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple control functions.
Experience:
Ideal candidates bring extensive experience in technology risk management, governance, and regulatory alignment, ideally within payments, banking, or financial services. They will have a proven track record in embedding enterprise risk frameworks, leading risk reporting initiatives, guiding senior-level discussions, and integrating regulatory expectations such as DORA into organisational practices.
A minimum of three years' relevant experience and a bachelor's degree are required, with broader experience across other elements of the risk management framework considered advantageous.
