Robotics Engineer Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Robotics Engineer to join our manufacturing team.
This role will involve designing and implementing robotic systems for various manufacturing processes, including welding, assembly, and materials handling.
You will be responsible for integrating automation equipment with existing machinery and workflows, ensuring quality standards and production targets are consistently met.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in robotic welding and a passion for engineering innovation.
Main Responsibilities:
* Design and implement robotic systems for manufacturing processes such as welding, assembly, and materials handling.
* Integrate automation equipment with existing machinery and workflows.
* Operate and program robotic welding systems, ensuring quality standards and production targets are consistently met.
* Use jigs, fixtures, and engineering drawings to fabricate complex metal assemblies.
* Set up, adjust, and fine-tune welding parameters (voltage, amperage, wire feed rate, etc.).
* Carrout routine operator-level maintenance and ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
* Support continuous improvement activities and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Requirements:
* HNC/HND in Engineering or Level 3 qualification with relevant experience.
* Experience with robotic welding systems and programming.
* Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and working with jigs and fixtures.
* Familiarity with welding parameters and safety practices.
* Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Comfortable working in both workshop and office environments.
