As a Qualcomm engineer, you will define, model, design (digital and/or analog), optimize, verify, validate, implement, and document IP (block/SoC) development for high performance, low‑power world‑class products. Engineers collaborate with cross‑functional groups to determine product execution paths.About the RoleThis is a Graphics Functional Design Verification position that involves:Working with GPU Design and Architecture Teams to understand concepts and high‑level requirementsDeveloping detailed Test and Coverage plans based on the Architecture and Micro‑architectureDeveloping Verification Methodology, ensuring scalability and portability across environmentsDeveloping Verification environment, including components such as Stimulus, Checkers, Assertions, Trackers, and CoverageDeveloping Verification Plans and Testbenches for your functional domainExecuting Verification Plans, including Design Bring‑up, DV environment Bring‑up, regressions enabling all features under your care, and debugging test failuresTracking and reporting DV progress using a variety of metrics, including Bugs and CoverageDeveloping UVM tests for functional verificationDebugging and analyzing new features in the Graphics Processors (GPU)Developing and deploying new verification methodologies around functional verificationSkills and Experience5+ years ASIC Design Verification or related work experienceVerification skills: test planning, scripting (Perl & Python), simulation, problem solving and debugSystemVerilog, UVM, Verilog or VHDL, C/C++ skills requiredConstrained‑random, functional coverage development, design debug experience requiredDesirable: RTL design experience and/or strong SoC architecture backgroundExperience with developing verification architecturesExperience with GPU architectures and associated verification methodologiesExperience with version control systems like Perforce, ClearCase, GIT, etc.Experience with issue tracking and task management systems like JIRAHW‑SW co‑verification and simulationFormal verificationBenefitsSalary, stock and performance‑related bonusMaternity/Paternity LeaveEmployee stock purchase schemeMatching pension schemeEducation assistanceRelocation and immigration support (if needed)Life, medical, income and travel insuranceSubsidised memberships for physical and mental well‑beingBicycle purchase schemeEmployee run clubs, including running, football, chess, badminton and moreEqual OpportunityWe are an equal‑opportunity employer; all qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, colour, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any protected classification.Location: Cork, Ireland.
