Key Responsibilities:
As a Shop Assistant / Bookseller, your main responsibilities will include:
Assisting customers with book recommendations
Operating the point of sale system and processing transactions with accuracy
Managing cash drawer funds, paperwork, and completing closing procedures
Maintaining a well-organized and inviting shop environment through merchandising
Addressing customer queries and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
Developing a deep knowledge of children's books to enhance customer service
Managing stock, including receiving deliveries and conducting stocktakes
Packing and processing online and wholesale orders
Assisting with ad-hoc business requirements and events, as available
