Key Responsibilities:
As a Shop Assistant / Bookseller, your main responsibilities will include:
* Assisting customers with book recommendations
* Operating the point of sale system and processing transactions with accuracy
* Managing cash drawer funds, paperwork, and completing closing procedures
* Maintaining a well-organized and inviting shop environment through merchandising
* Addressing customer queries and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
* Developing a deep knowledge of children's books to enhance customer service
* Managing stock, including receiving deliveries and conducting stocktakes
* Packing and processing online and wholesale orders
* Assisting with ad-hoc business requirements and events, as available
