Leadership Role in Residential Care
The role of a Team Leader in our residential care services is to provide leadership and support to staff in delivering a high-quality, client-focused service. This involves working closely with the Residential Services Manager to manage the delivery of services, ensuring that all clients receive the best possible care and support.
Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and guidance to staff on a daily basis, facilitating the implementation of person-centered plans for each client.
* Supervise and support staff, identifying their training needs and development requirements to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent care.
* Design, implement, and review quality monitoring systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
* Ensure adequate staffing levels and participate in rosters as required.
* Provide support and assistance with daily living tasks, such as personal care and meal preparation, in accordance with individual support plans.
* Document information, update records, and complete necessary paperwork for communication and accountability purposes.
* Work collaboratively with the manager to coordinate and plan services, ensuring efficient day-to-day management of the service.
* Liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams, and other personnel as directed by the Centre Manager.
Requirements:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional to fill this critical leadership role. The ideal candidate will possess a third-level graduate degree in Health & Social Care, a management qualification, or be working towards same. A minimum of three years' experience in a similar/related field, preferably in an accommodation-based setting, is essential.
