Position:Loans OfficerDepartment:FinanceContract Type:2 Years Fixed-Term, Full-TimePlace of Work:11/12 Warrington Place, Dublin 2ABOUT USCo-operative Housing Ireland is the national organisation representing, promoting and developing co-operative housing in Ireland. Since our foundation in 1973 we have provided over 5,700 homes through homeownership, shared ownership and social rented co-operatives. As an Approved Housing Body (AHB), we work with various stakeholders in the housing sector, including Local Authorities, Government, aspiring homeowners, tenants and developers. We currently manage over 5,000 properties across Ireland.ROLE OVERVIEWCo-operative Housing Ireland is seeking a "Loans Officer" to join the Asset and Loans Team within our Finance Department on a 2-year contract basis from January 2026.The role will work closely with the Asset and Loans Manager, within the Finance team. The Asset and Loans Team manage the purchase of social housing properties, the funding streams for these property purchases, lease payments, and the management of grants applications as well as the income streams from various local authorities. This involves analysis, forecasting, reporting, credit control, regulatory returns, and audits.The successful candidate for this role will learn all aspects of these duties and will become responsible for the processing, reporting and reconciliation of this information. The social housing sector is experiencing huge growth so we are looking for someone motivated, who will fit in with our team, who is interested in working in the housing sector, is keen to learn and has a good work ethic.The role will be based in our Head Office located at 11/12 Warrington Place, Dublin 2, however there is a possibility of some remote working on a temporary basis.WHAT YOU WILL DOSupporting the maintenance of the Asset and Loans and Lease Registers.Process and allocate Bank receipts and payments.Processing Bank Reconciliations.Processing monthly journals.Month End Reconciliation and reporting.Work closely with various internal departments and external stakeholders e.g. Finance, Development, Local Authorities, Department of Housing, Housing Finance Agency and others.Liaise with relevant departments regarding collection activities related to our income streams.Assist in collection of outstanding monies by appropriate means.Resolve and expedite queries to facilitate payment.Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and quarterly reporting.Budget and Cashflow forecasting and variance reporting.Any other relevant duties as directed by the Asset & Loans Manager.WHAT YOU WILL BRINGEssential2+ years' relevant experience in similar role.Strong I.T. skills to include Microsoft Office, particularly Excel .Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail essential.Good interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to multi-task and work on own initiative.Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and perform under pressure.Ability to work collaboratively in a team.At minimum; Leaving Cert standard English & Maths.Strong negotiation skills.Able to adapt and work towards different goals as and when required.Assertive but diplomatic.Desirable:Experience with general accounting software (Current system used is Castleton Finance).Experience in the Housing/Property/Accounting/Finance/Banking or I.T. industries preferred.Knowledge of Approved Housing Bodies, Co-operative Housing and/or the Charity, Not-For-Profit sector.Interest in financial analysis.WHAT WE OFFERCompetitive Salary Bands22 Days Annual Leave + 3 Company Privilege DaysAnnual leave increase to 30 days linked to length of serviceGenerous Company Pension Contributions (up to 12% employer contribution)Income ProtectionPaid Sick leave SchemeEducational Assistance Program, Paid Study & Exam Leave, Paid Professional SubscriptionEmployee Assistance Program (EAP Scheme)Life Cover/Death in ServiceHybrid-WorkingSELECTION PROCESSPlease note that interviews for this position may take place anytime from the launch date to closing date until a successful candidate is found.How to Apply: Interested applicants should submit a CV and Cover Letter.Due to the high volume of applications received, we regret that we are unable to respond to all applications.
