SK9 are partnering with a well-established manufacturing organisation in Co. Cavan to recruit a Junior Health & Safety Advisor with a strong interest in environmental compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career professional to develop their expertise within a supportive and progressive environment, working closely with experienced HSE and operations teams.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting health, safety, and environmental initiatives across the site, with a particular focus on ensuring compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and driving best practice in environmental management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental management systems
Support compliance with EPA licence requirements, including monitoring, reporting, and audits
Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and environmental impact reviewsAssist in the management of waste, emissions, and resource efficiency programmes
Maintain accurate HSE and environmental documentation and records
Support incident investigations and help drive corrective actions
Deliver toolbox talks and contribute to employee awareness initiatives
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Health & Safety, or a related discipline
1–2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (placement experience considered)
Knowledge or exposure to EPA compliance and environmental legislation
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels
Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
