Role Summary
A leading facilities management and services organisation is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their team at the Central Bank of Ireland, North Wall Quay, Dublin. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive safety culture across all service operations, providing expert guidance on occupational health and safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across health, food safety, environmental practices, and risk management. You will work closely with operational leaders and teams to ensure all activities meet stringent safety standards whilst supporting business continuity planning and incident management across a complex, multi-service environment. This role requires a strong understanding of Irish health and safety legislation and ideally some exposure to corporate services environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Champion and embed a positive Health & Safety culture across all service lines within the account
* Provide expert occupational safety guidance and support to operational management teams
* Lead the implementation and maintenance of health, food safety, and environmental policies across the organisation
* Oversee local planning, performance monitoring, and reporting of Health & Safety standards and compliance metrics
* Develop, maintain, and review risk registers; contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning
* Conduct thorough incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans
* Prepare and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation, site-specific procedures, and safety records in accordance with Irish legislation
* Collaborate with the wider Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) community to identify improvement opportunities and drive innovation
* Support operational teams in conducting safety audits and implementing quality assurance systems
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Minimum diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (FETAC Level 6 or higher)
* Current membership with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or equivalent Irish recognised qualification
Experience & Knowledge:
* Proven experience working within Hard Facilities Management or Mechanical & Electrical service environments
* Strong understanding of Irish health and safety legislation
and regulatory requirements
* Background or exposure to corporate services environments
(preferred)
* Demonstrated understanding of Food Safety systems, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)
* Proven track record implementing and managing safety and quality management systems
* Comprehensive working knowledge of incident management and risk assessment methodologies

* Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
* Full driving license (desirable)
