Our organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Administrator to assume responsibility for the management of our monthly financial cycle, preparation of management accounts and annual year-end accounts, and administration of standing payments and bank accounts.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Manage the monthly finance cycle, overseeing invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and payment schedules, ensuring timely completion and accurate records.
2. Prepare monthly management accounts and annual year-end accounts, liaising with auditors on queries and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
3. Administer standing payments (rent, dividends, profit shares) and monitor bank accounts, providing regular balance updates to stakeholders.
4. Complete VAT and P30 returns bi-monthly, maintaining full compliance with tax and revenue requirements and ensuring up-to-date tax clearance certificates.
5. Manage weekly invoicing, supplier payments, and cross-chargers, ensuring correct accounting treatment and adherence to financial regulations.
6. Produce financial projections as required and maintain a secure, confidential, and well-organised filing system.
7. Supervise and provide support to junior staff, ensuring a high standard of administration in all aspects of the finance function.
8. Handle various ad hoc administrative tasks (licences, tax certs, review dates, payments).
Requirements:
1. 5+ years experience in a relevant position, ideally in a role dealing with multiple sets of accounts and demonstrating expertise in financial administration.
2. Experience in a Senior Accounts Assistant or Part-Qualified Accounting role, with a proven track record of managing complex financial data and processes.
3. Excellent attention to detail and observation of key deadlines, with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
4. Strong software knowledge – Sage 50, Word/Excel, various banking apps etc., with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
5. Positivity, enthusiasm, confidence, competence and a sense of humour, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
