Business Developer (BD)
Our client is a very well known, multinational consumer goods company with category leading brands in Household, Beauty & Grooming and in all retail channels.
Territory: Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Donegal
Purpose Statement:
* To be a Brand Ambassador for one of the world's biggest consumer goods companies.
* To create and develop relationships in stores with the aim of growing sales within them through a mix of direct selling, business development, data collection & analysis, and merchandising.
* To effectively work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and learning from them to achieve a common goal.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Working within the multiples (Dunnes & Tesco) as well as the convenience channel (Supervalu).
* Developing a good knowledge of all the Brands & Products in the portfolio across multiple categories.
* Achieving set sales targets through direct selling in the convenience channel.
* Enhancing the path to purchase through – POS placement, Product training, Merchandising, SEL’s placement/correction, Distribution, and Space.
* Management of journey plan against call completion targets.
* Working with in-store contacts to pre-sell and execute trade activity (current & future) in stores.
* Capturing & Reporting in-store data (Promotional compliance, distribution data, incremental displays, etc.).
Essential Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:
* A motivated problem solver with a can-do attitude that displays good social intelligence.
* Understands the importance of Merchandising, Category Planning, and planograms.
* Merchandising and product availability experience in the FMCG sector is not required but would be a benefit.
* An ability to build great working relationships with line managers, peers, and customers.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Excellent verbal, communication, and personal organizational skills.
* Ability to overcome objections and strong business acumen.
* Strong technological acumen (Ability to work with tablets/phones).
* Full clean driving license.
Package:
* €27K per annum.
* €2,000 bonus.
* €9 Lunch Allowance per day.
* Van provided.
