School Driver. Fonthill Lodge Childcare Lucan, Co. Dublin Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and responsible School Driver to join our team in Lucan. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting school-age children to and from local schools. This role requires a full clean driver's license, a love for working with children, and a conscientious, considerate attitude towards both children, parents, teachers and the community. There is also an opportunity to work with the school age within the setting children on an ad hoc basis.
Reporting to: The Creche Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Safely transport children to and from local schools in Lucan.
* Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and safe at all times.
* Build positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and school drop-off/pick-up protocols.
* Assist children in and out of the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Communicate effectively with parents and creche staff regarding any transportation issues or concerns.
* Work with school-age children on an ad hoc basis as needed.
Requirements:
* Full clean driver's licence.
* No formal qualifications are required, but must enjoy working with children.
* Ability to be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
* Strong safety awareness and conscientious attitude.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Considerate and patient demeanour, especially with children and parents.
* Previous experience working with children is an advantage but not essential.
