The team provide expert employee relations advisory with strategic leadership of inclusion initiatives, supporting fair and equitable people practices across Deloitte. As an Employee Relations Business Partner you provide trusted advice on complex employee relations matters, and support the firm's commitment to a fair and inclusive workplace culture. This maternity cover role offers a varied and impactful experience, involving multiple stakeholder engagement, project leadership, and strategic influence within a leading professional services firm. Key Responsibilities Partner with the business as a trusted advisor on HR best practices and compliance with relevant legislation provides ER and employment law expertise on all ER issues and HR policy and procedures, to ensure consistency across the firm. Provide expert advice and support to HR colleagues and people leaders on all employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, welfare, restructures, and TUPE-related activities. Manage a complex caseload from commencement to resolution, maintaining accurate records and case management systems. Liaise effectively with legal advisors, occupational health, and third-party hearing bodies as required to support case resolution. Conduct timely formal processes such as investigations, hearings, appeals produce clear, comprehensive outcome reports and communications. Keep all relevant parties and business stakeholders updated. Provide guidance and coaching to junior members of ER and Inclusion team. Review written communications, investigation reports and outcome letters where required. Respond proactively to internal and external events to enhance our inclusive culture. Policy development, projects and training Participate in the identification and delivery of ER and inclusion projects/ initiatives to improve the policy framework, embed knowledge within the firm and expand capability within the team. Partner with the Learning team to design and deliver people management training at key career lifecycle touchpoints. Data and Insights Collaborate with key partners to analyse ER and inclusion data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to enable proactive decision-making. About you Experienced HR/employee relations professional Strong knowledge of HR best practices, HR policies and relevant legislation. Proven ability to build trust and influence senior leaders, confidently managing challenging conversations. Proven track record in project management and using data-driven insights to shape strategies. Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel for impactful presentations and data analysis. Proactive and self-driven with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. CIPD or relevant qualifications/certifications in HR, or related fields.
