Job Description:
* Manage day-to-day site environmental health and safety activities to ensure full compliance with local, national, and European regulations.
* Implement and execute environmental health and safety programs, processes, and industry best practices.
* Maintain excellent site-specific environmental health and safety plans and programs.
* Provide guidance and interpretation of environmental health and safety regulations and requirements affecting the site to management teams and team members.
* Partner with teams to manage site environmental health and safety compliance activities (inspections, training, monitoring, sampling).
* Drive environmental health and safety compliance through audits, process, equipment review, and site inspections.
* Lead site risk reduction and environmental improvement activities.
* Manage site environmental health and safety training programs and budgets.
* Complete all site regulatory monitoring (annual environmental reports, emissions calculations) and work closely with site customers to ensure timely submission of reports.
* Lead site injury and illness prevention programs. Lead incident and accident investigations and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
* Work cooperatively with wider environmental health and safety resources on business projects and initiatives.
* Manage licenses, greenhouse gas emissions licenses, and reporting requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 3 years of environmental health and safety experience in a similar regulated industry or engineering environment.
* Power plant or industry experience is beneficial.
