Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to all stages of the project lifecycle, from proposal and planning through execution, delivery, and post-project review.
* Monitor and report on project progress, including technical updates, scope, schedule, and cost adherence.
* Design and develop mechanical solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
* Perform engineering calculations and specify components as needed.
* Lead internal and customer design reviews, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in communication.
* Work according to project plans and schedules as determined by the design lead.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
* Plan project tasks for yourself and any assigned resources, ensuring timely and quality completion.
* Adhere to all relevant quality standards, including revision control, documentation, and procedural compliance.
* Present designs in structured design reviews with clear and concise communication.
* Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional growth within the department.
* Delegate tasks effectively and ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
* Travel as required for project execution and customer engagement.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
* Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or an equivalent 3D CAD design package.
* Proven experience in executing mechanical design projects from concept to delivery, preferably in an automation environment.
