These radio stations broadcast news and information programs from NPR, PRI, and the BBC as well as award-winning locally produced content.JOB OVERVIEWReporting to the Executive Editor, the Digital Production Assistant supports the engagement and promotion of CAI's locally produced content on its website and through social media channels fulfilling our mission to meet our audiences where they are. We are seeking a Digital Production Assistant who can help us capitalize on our content and the unique access we have to some great thinkers. They will create content that both supports our broadcast and provides valuable context for understanding today's headlines and political, social, and scientific trends. They will commission original articles, create unique, engaging written and visual content. Candidates must be collaborative and have a working knowledge of audio and video production and understanding of best practices of social media and online platforms.RESPONSIBILITIESWeb Publishing: Coordinate with reporters and hosts on publishing or scheduling content using Grove.Social Media Management: Create, share, and prepare engaging audio, text and visual content for digital publication across multiple platforms - from simple quotes with links to other multimedia pieces like videos.Collaborate with Executive Editor to create social media packages promoting show episodes and segments.Newsletter: Create, coordinate, and assist in publishing the CAI Weekly eNews.Donor Content Support: Update Founders Circle section of our website and make layout adjustments.Work with internal partners to choose and format 120 Sonics quarterly.Under the guidance of the Executive Editor, work with the New England News Collaborative to collaborate on web and social media stories.Various other tasks as needed, including website troubleshooting, promo writing and recording, video, and web analytics.SKILL SETExperience using digital formats and social media platforms - producing and publishing on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, Constant Contact, etc.Strong attention to detail; ability to write and proofread work.Understanding of principles of journalismWriting, editing, and storytelling skills for digital platforms.Familiarity with audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity) and content.Working knowledge of Management systems (CMS).Working knowledge of graphic design, video editing, copywriting, editing and AP StyleFamiliarity with social media and digital engagement strategies.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in journalism, communications, media, or equivalent work experience required.6 months to 1 years of experience in social media management or digital production required.JOB SPECIFICSStaff positionPart-time, 32 hoursHybrid positionLOCATIONFalmouth, MASalary Range$44,880 - $57,675Compensation offered within this range is determined by skills, experience and internal pay equity.GBH is an equal opportunity employer.
