Our client,
a leading Construction company, are currently recruiting a Project Manager for the completion of a Large Residential project based in Dublin City. The ideal candidate will have a balance of working with the logistical elements of the project alongside the construction elements.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee site staff and subcontractors daily to ensure project progress aligns with plans.
2. Implement all company health and safety procedures.
3. Develop and monitor the construction and logistical schedule.
4. Review and understand all drawings and specifications, and promptly communicate any errors or omissions to the design team.
5. Evaluate designs and suggest improvements for buildability and cost savings while maintaining quality and enhancing margins.
6. Ensure timely information flow from the design team and prepare necessary schedules/RFIs.
7. Coordinate long lead-time materials and subcontract packages efficiently.
8. Maintain close communication with the contracts manager/construction director to meet and exceed business objectives and project strategies.
9. Collaborate with project QSs to manage finances and exceed budget targets.
10. Monitor construction quality regarding workmanship and materials.
11. Maximize cost-effectiveness through efficient resource use.
12. Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, and good building practices.
13. Determine project resource requirements and lead/motivate the project team.
14. Ensure adherence to local statutory and regulatory obligations.
15. Provide management with written weekly/monthly progress reports on the program and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Skills:
16. Engineering or construction qualification with 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
17. Experience in dealing with facade works.
18. Experience in team management and the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
19. Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
20. Ensuring all logistical elements of the project are meeting the project timelines.
21. In-depth knowledge of building details and construction technology.
22. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
23. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and MS Project; Procore experience is a plus.
