Channel Mechanics has offices in Ireland, UK and the US. At this exciting stage in our company’s growth, we are looking for a Financial Assistant to assist the CFO with the preparation of the Group accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal requirements compliance.
* Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
* Maintain historical records by filing documents.
* Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
* Comply with Irish, UK and US (federal, state, and local) legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions.
* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Process payments, invoices, income and receipts, and enter data into accounting software or databases; file hard copies.
* Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances.
* Complete VAT / Sales Tax returns.
* Verify the accuracy of business accounts and alert the CFO of errors.
* Record any inconsistencies to help the CFO reconcile inaccuracies.
* Manage employee expense claims.
* Assist the CFO with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts.
Requirements
* Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field.
* Knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAA, and IFRS.
* Proficient in MS Office 365.
* Strong office administration background and thoroughness.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Positive, can-do attitude with passion, energy, and a strong work ethic.
* Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Strong team player working collaboratively across all levels.
* Bookkeeping experience is preferred.
* CPA certification is a plus.
* Experience working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas is a plus.
* Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
