This role takes over the Architect's delivery responsibilities including:Architecture governanceDetailed design and documentationTechnical oversight of engineering teamsGap analysis and remediationClient-facing solution clarificationArchitectural alignment with business objectivesHands-on PoC developmentTechnical decision-makingPre-sales support when requiredWHAT YOU WILL DOArchitecture & Solution LeadershipOwn the end-to-end solution architecture for major programs across cloud, data, integration, and application layers.Produce comprehensive Solution Architecture Documents (SAD), data flow diagrams, deployment diagrams, and security models.Design secure, scalable, Azure-first architectures including App Services, Functions, API gateways, PaaS data stores, VNets, Integration Services, and Identity (Entra).Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, regulatory expectations, and client-specific compliance requirements.Lead architecture reviews, decisions, and change assessments.Hands-On Technical DeliveryPerform deep technical analysis to identify gaps, dependencies, design issues, and remediation paths.Build PoCs and validate designs through hands-on implementation when needed.Support engineering teams with detailed patterns, frameworks, and architecture reference models.Ensure designs are implementable, testable, observable, and maintainable—not just theoretical.Governance & AssuranceOversee technical assurance across all workstreams and phases.Participate in steering groups, CAB meetings, design reviews, and compliance forums.Support production of DPIAs, Data Flow maps, Security Assessments, and technical inputs to privacy and risk documents.Manage architectural traceability from requirements to solution to deployment.Collaboration & LeadershipWork closely with Technical Program Managers to maintain delivery clarity and technical direction across streams.Partner with engineering leads, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and quality.Work with pre-sales to shape proposals, solution outlines, and architecture responses for new opportunities.Mentor developers, junior architects, and technical analysts; grow the technical capability of the team.Client EngagementEngage with senior business stakeholders to explain complex systems in simple terms.Provide clarity on architectural decisions, trade-offs, and technical risks.Act as the trusted technical advisor for long-running accounts and large transformation programs.YOUR EXPERIENCE10+ years in software architecture, solution design, or senior engineering on Microsoft and Azure ecosystems.Proven track record designing enterprise-grade, multi-system integrations with cloud-native components.Proven record of designing and supporting the implementation of systems hosted in Azure Cloud for production operational useStrong experience in Azure PaaS, networking, identity, data services, DevOps pipelines, and microservice/API design.Deep practical understanding of .NET, C#, SQL Server, App Services, Azure Functions, ADF/SSIS patterns, and hybrid integrations.Experience delivering in governance-heavy environments with regulatory, privacy, and security constraints.Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality architecture documentation at speed.Experience guiding engineering teams through complex delivery and architecture decisions.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSDegree qualified/relevant professional qualification.Advantage if you have additional technical qualificationsYOUR ATTRIBUTESStrong communicator capable of simplifying complex architectures.Delivery-focused, reliable, and structured—able to manage multiple parallel streams.Calm under pressure and comfortable taking ownership of problems.Hands-on when required; not a "PowerPoint Architect."High accountability, strong sense of ownership, and a collaborative mindset.Naturally curious, always ready to dive deeper into technical detail or business context.A leader who can balance strategy with execution.WHY THIS ROLE MATTERSThis role becomes the architectural anchor for our largest engagements, allowing senior leadership to scale, focus on strategic growth, and support the broader organization.You will be the technical owner, the architectural decision-maker, and a core partner to delivery leadership—ensuring high-quality outcomes across some of our most important programs.
