We want to make a positive impact on the world and we will support our suppliers and customers to make a difference too.We are now recuiting a Commercial Finance Business PartnerThe role will support the Musgrave Retail Services Local Finance team, the Head of Finance in particular. The role will provide commercial and strategic support to the management team and other business stakeholders as required. The role will be both structured & varied delivering to changing business needs. This role will report to the Head of Finance.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Supporting the Management team on the strategic vision of the businessIdentify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities to inform decision-making.Ownership of certain balance sheet accounts that require an area of judgement, e.g. Loyalty, stock provision, Impairment, Onerous LeasesSupport the Finance team and FP&A Manager in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process including group submissionsMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver regular updates to the Head of FinanceProvide & ensure business performance & BRM decks give insight on the drivers behind recent trading performanceProvide support to the business when preparing business cases for store development & investment including collaboration with cross-functional teamsWeekly analysis of sales & margin giving clarity on causes of variances.Provide insight to the Sales & Operations team on the outliers of store or department versus the rest of the estate or trends within the BrandsProvision of relevant financial information to other support functions and stores to support the agenda of driving profitability in each & every storeBuild and maintain cross functional relationships with other Support functions & with the Stores providing support on new and improved ways to drive improvement & profit for the MRS businessProviding partnering support to business stakeholders on all business transformation initiatives from initial costings through to planning & implementationEnsure all profit & Sales driving initiatives are managed effectively in line with planAssist Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects as required including business modelling & risk assessments of proposed initiatives / risksThe successful candidate will possess the following:Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQEGood Stakeholder Management ExperienceStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.Good organisational and time management skillsHigh attention to detailExcellent analytical mindset & highly numericExcellent interpersonal skills - team player, influencer, leaderAbility to drive change in the work environment - an innovatorA self-motivated approach to work - can do attitudeAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Flexible and dependableAbility to work under pressure, keep within tight deadlines and multi taskThis is a 12 month contractMusgrave is an equal opportunities employer.We encourage applications from diverse candidates.
