Property Claims Technical Expert
We are seeking an experienced Property Claims Technical Expert to join our GI Claims team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of technical property claims, providing excellent claims service across the Property claims portfolio.
This role will encompass a combination of technical property claims handling, as well as supporting the wider Property Claims team with technical development and upskilling. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of technical property claims to ensure the appropriate claims strategy is deployed and will act as a technical referral point.
The role requires a strong technical background in property claims, with excellent numerical and analytical skills, decision-making skills, and high level of interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in loss adjusting or complex claim handling is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage a portfolio of cases to achieving a settlement, within the designated personal authority level.
* Promptly handle and resolve enquiries from both customers and internal/external contacts to ensure delivery of a focused claims service within own authority limits.
* Closely collaborate and engage with Zurich's Loss Adjuster Partners.
* Conducts appropriate desk-top and external investigations including physical external investigation where necessary.
* Correctly interprets / gathers information to identify causation and assess the extent of legal liability.
* Oversight case strategies by providing direction, technical guidance, and tracking and reporting on key metrics.
Requirements:
* 5 years plus industry experience or 5 years plus QS, Engineering, construction experience.
* Loss Adjusting or complex claim handling experience.
* Holds or is working towards relevant professional qualifications i.e. CIP, MDI, ACII, C Dip LA
