We turn ambiguity into order, and we know how to execute big projects successfully and with the highest quality.DescriptionThe AppleCare Technologies team has an immediate opening for a Cross-Functional Quality Engineer to plan and lead cross-functional testing across complex AppleCare projects. You will be responsible for the planning, preparation, resourcing, execution management, issue resolution, and progress reporting of testing activities across business and technical groups on the project.ResponsibilitiesQuality advocate who will partner with business and technical teams to build comprehensive test plans for large cross-functional systems projects and programs, with particular focus on UATInspire others to fight for excellence, even under competing priorities and pressuresEffectively lead meetings ranging from 2 to 60+ participants, and communicate resulting actionsIdentify opportunities to leverage automation for test prep and executionProactively look for risks (technological, organizational, political) and identify appropriate mitigation plansSeek expertise and involve the right experts for the best testing outcomesDrive schedule, planning meetings and activities for UAT preparation and executionFacilitate identification of test scenarios and ensure requirements traceabilityFoster healthy debate and seek to understand multiple perspectivesEstimate resource requirements to complete testing, and ensure realistic plans are in placeEnsure the test environments and required data are available to support testingUtilize analytical skills to investigate and drive resolution of issues found in UA T activitiesReport progress on UAT activities and issues to the project team and to managementApproach problems flexibly, and be willing to adapt and modify your approach, without compromising on the outcome.Driving forward innovative approaches and methodologiesMinimum Qualifications7+ years experience leading testing/QA, with emphasis on planning and managing cross-functional testingExperience with different testing methodologies and driving a quality mindsetExperience establishing QA program structure for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinating and delegating cross-project initiativesAbility to develop technical expertise and understanding of system interdependencies, and their impacts on testing plansExperience with system and/or software architecture modelsAbility to abstract technical details and effectively communicate to audiences at different levelsProficient at balancing multiple efforts at a timeExcellent listening, communication, leadership and presentation skillsAbility to develop and maintain relationships with internal partnersExemplify flexible thinking, curiosity, self-motivation, dedication to quality, focus on the details, and a positive perspectiveAbility to navigate through ambiguity to clarify objectives and execution plansStrong organisational and documentation skillsAbility to travel up to 10% of the timePreferred QualificationsSAP functional experience, and experience migrating from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4 HANA is beneficialExperience with Sales and Logistics testing, as well as freight carriers or third-party logistics providers, is a plusQuality Assurance certification (ISTQB, ASQ, etc) and/or PMI certification is highly desirable
