The Centre Administrator is responsible for the efficient day-to-day administrative operations of the Garden Centre, with a primary focus on stock control, ordering of plants, and maintaining accurate records using computer system.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in using office software and inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage stock levels and inventory, ensuring all supplies are accurately logged and well-maintained
Place and track orders
Receive and inspect deliveries, verifying quantities and condition of goods
Maintain and update digital records of stock, orders, invoices, and administrative documents
Liaise with suppliers, and staff to coordinate supply needs and resolve order issues
Support general office duties including email correspondence, document filing, and data entry
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in administration, stock control, or purchasing preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and inventory software
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
High attention to detail and accuracy
