Lawler Group is a well-established business operating within the traditional engineering, sustainability, and energy management sectors.

Since 2015, Lawler Sustainability has established itself as Ireland's leading Sustainability Experts. We are currently recruiting for a Sustainability Consultant/Engineer.


Job Title

Sustainability Consultant/Engineer


Location

Kilkenny office with opportunities for hybrid/remote work for the right candidate. Some on-site work may be required.


Experience

2+ years desirable


Responsibilities

* Join our Kilkenny-based sustainability consulting practice as a LEED assessor.
* Lead LEED certification projects, with opportunities to work on BREEAM, WELL, HPI, Fitwel, and Edge projects.
* Conduct LEED Pre-Assessments to evaluate potential scores for new clients.
* Educate and advise the design team on LEED requirements to achieve points.
* Review and approve evidential documentation and address design team queries.
* Utilize the LEED project portal for project submissions.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of the LEED process fundamentals.
* Perform site visits to verify measures are implemented and gather evidence.
* Complete LEED BD+C assessments for commercial projects.
* Prepare clear, high-quality technical reports communicating issues and conclusions.
* Manage projects from initial brief to completion, ensuring client and project criteria are met.


Requirements

* Degree in Built Environment, Building Services, or Sustainability.
* 2+ years in a similar role (not essential).
* Accredited LEED AP.
* Basic technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
* Ability to identify, manage, and measure KPIs.
* Experience with energy and environmental performance analysis, including energy modelling, daylight analysis, audits, renewable energy, and rainwater harvesting.
* Excellent report writing and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Familiarity with LEED Online Portal and certification process, with a proven track record of completed projects.


Desirable

* Experience with BREEAM or other certification systems.
* Experience with thermal comfort and energy modelling using IES.
* Experience with LEED Commissioning Authority role.
* Experience with OneClick LCA.
