Sous Chef Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at Dock 84 in Sligo.
About the Role
As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supervising all sections of the kitchen and assisting the Head Chef during service. You must have at least 5 years' experience as a chef and hold knowledge or training in kitchen health and hygiene procedures, as well as professional cookery skills.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef during service to ensure seamless food preparation and presentation.
* Help maintain high standards of kitchen health and hygiene procedures.
* Prepare dishes to order, using your expertise in cooking techniques and ingredient pairing.
* Cook food to order, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
* Train junior chefs to develop their skills and knowledge in professional cookery.
Requirements
* At least 5 years' experience as a chef.
* Knowledge or training in kitchen health and hygiene procedures.
* Professional cookery skills and knowledge.
Work Details
* Full-time permanent position.
* 39 hours per week.
* Salary: €30,000 per annum.
