Freight Forwarding Specialist - LeixlipOne of the largest providers of industrial, medical and special gases in the UK and Ireland is looking to add a Freight Specialist to their team.
The role will be based on the Intel site in Leixlip.The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing / logistics background with an understanding of Freight activities or with experience of import and export activities.
This role has become available as a direct result of continued growth within the organisation.Permanent role, 39 hours week based 5 days on site on the Intel site.
Mon-Fri.Responsibilities:· Support with freight planning activities and logistics coordinationVendor PO follow up· Support month end billing cycle where vendor or customer queries exist· Co-ordination of PO requests for month end reconciliations· Ensure rate file effective & expiry dates are current and up to date on SharePoint· Archive outdated commercial buy and sell rates · Follow up with vendors for rate file updates· Checking of queried vendor invoices where ongoing disputes exist· Production of commercial KPIs· Creation of Power Point slides for SLT/QBR· Support projects related to operational, productivity, cost improvement, process optimisationRequirements· 2+ years' experience in freight / logistics / import & export role· Experience in working with suppliers· Understanding of the negotiation / procurement process· Ability to think ahead and plan accordingly· Practical problem-solving ability· Credible communication and negotiation skills at all levels· Ability to identify, develop and implement innovative ideas@LI-SD1
