Job Description
This is a leadership position for a Medical Director in a high-complexity clinical laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the medical and scientific aspects of laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Key responsibilities include providing clinical oversight and guidance, interpreting test results, collaborating with healthcare providers, and staying informed about new medical advancements and technologies.
The role also involves leading regulatory inspections and audits, establishing quality control and assurance policies, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development among laboratory personnel.
In addition, the Medical Director will work closely with laboratory leadership to develop strategies and goals for the laboratory's operation and growth, and assist in resource allocation, budgeting, and financial planning.
Responsibilities:

Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you will need to have a strong background in pathology, clinical chemistry, or a related field. A valid and unrestricted U.S. medical license is required, as well as board certification in pathology or a related specialty.
Additional qualifications include experience in leading quality assurance, quality control, and patient safety programs, as well as proven track record of compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation processes.
