About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Design Manager to join a leading contractor specializing in high‑end fit‑out and dry‑lining solutions for mission‑critical environments. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead complex data centre and commercial fit‑out projects while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the technical lead for design coordination across civil, structural, architectural, M&E, and specialist packages.
Manage design deliverables, approvals, QA/QC, and constructability reviews.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
Oversee technical documentation, change control, and risk management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Report on design progress, RFIs, and technical KPIs to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (or equivalent experience).
5+ years’ experience managing technical design for fit‑out or data centre projects.
Strong knowledge of design coordination tools, QA/QC, and fast‑track delivery.
Familiarity with building services: composite wall systems, suspended ceilings, M&E interfaces, passive fireproofing.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, or similar BIM tools preferred.
