The Role
You will join the Skye House CAMHS team as a compassionate and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse, contributing to high‑quality, evidence‑based inpatient care for young people aged 12–17 experiencing acute mental health difficulties. The role involves providing leadership, clinical expertise, and trauma‑informed decision‑making within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
Full‑time, Fixed‑term 12‑month
Base location: Stobhill Hospital, Skye House
Shift pattern: to be confirmed
Key Responsibilities
Delivering evidence‑based care to children and young people with a range of mental health and neurodiverse needs.
Providing clinical leadership and supporting the nursing team to meet professional and family‑centred care standards.
Monitoring care delivery to ensure safe, high‑quality interventions.
Coordinating workforce resources to maintain effective service provision.
Making trauma‑informed decisions that support young people and their families.
Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic assessment and treatment.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job
Strong clinical expertise in child and adolescent mental health.
Skills in trauma‑informed care and decision‑making.
Experience in workforce coordination and monitoring care standards.
Understanding of neurodiverse presentations and acute mental health difficulties.
Commitment to professional development and reflective practice.
