Role Overview
As a key member of the European Operations Teams, you will maintain a wide range of high‑impact equipment, ensuring safety and minimizing downtime. Your day‑to‑day tasks will span installation, testing, fault finding, and planned maintenance, while you also contribute to continuous improvement projects and innovations unique to Amazon.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Carrying out proactive and preventative maintenance
* Performing reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution environment
* Using advanced tools to maximise equipment effectiveness
* Making modifications and upgrades to existing equipment
* Upholding health and safety policies and practices
* Participating in continuous improvement projects
Basic Qualifications
* Have lived in the UK, an EEA country, or a British overseas territory for 3 years or more prior to starting the apprenticeship
* Be a resident of Ireland for the duration of the apprenticeship
* Not be registered to study on a government‑funded course ending August 2026 or later
* Be 18 years old or older before entering an Amazon building (September 2026)
* Hold a Leaving Certificate with five 06s or higher, including Mathematics, or a Leaving Certificate Applied with the same grades and a level‑5 qualification in a STEM field plus one year of industry experience
* Or have completed an approved pre‑apprenticeship training course in an engineering discipline with comparable mathematics proficiency
* Or hold a full level‑5 award on the National Framework of Qualifications (EQF4) with sufficient maths skills
* If over 23 (or with 3 years of OEM experience) and not meeting the above, you may apply through the Recognised Prior Learning process, subject to additional requirements
Preferred Qualifications
* Full award at NFQ Level 5 or Level 6 in a STEM, engineering, or technology discipline
* Completion of or enrolment in a Post‑Leaving Certificate (PLC) course focused on technology or engineering
* Prior apprenticeship or traineeship in manufacturing or engineering
* Strong academic performance in mathematics, physics, or technology during Leaving Certificate studies
* Additional certifications relevant to engineering or technical fields (e.g., CAD, robotics, electrical installation, mechanical maintenance)

Proof of all required qualifications must be submitted by 17 July 2026. Failure to provide verified certificates by this deadline will result in automatic withdrawal of the offer.
