Byrne Hotel Group is expanding its commercial leadership structure, and we're looking for a Group Events Manager to take charge of the full events strategy across our portfolio. This role is the engine behind how we grow weddings, conferences, corporate events, social occasions and everything in between across all properties in the Group.
You'll drive the Group-wide events strategy, optimise processes, mentor property-level events teams and ensure every event delivers commercially and operationally. The hotels will handle day-to-day execution; you will steer the direction, performance, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Develop and implement a unified events growth strategy across all Byrne Hotel Group properties.
* Create annual and monthly event revenue plans aligned with group targets.
* Analyse demand, market trends, and competitor behaviour to identify new opportunities.
* Collaborate with the Group Director of Sales & Marketing to shape long-term commercial planning.
Performance & Revenue Management
* Own the events sales funnel and performance targets across the group.
* Build forecasting models for weddings, conferences, meetings, and private events.
* Monitor KPIs, conversion rates, lead times, and event profitability.
* Work with property teams to maximise capacity, yield, and upsell opportunities.
Team Oversight & Collaboration
* Provide leadership, training, and support to property-level Events Managers and Coordinators.
* Ensure consistent standards of enquiry handling, follow-up speed, proposal quality, and event delivery.
* Act as escalation point for complex or high-value enquiries.
* Facilitate monthly performance reviews with each property's events team.
Process, Systems & Quality
* Implement standardised SOPs, templates, workflows, and reporting frameworks across all hotels.
* Champion best practices in CRM usage, pipeline management, and Revinate/booking engine integrations.
* Maintain strong working relationships with F&B, Operations, Revenue, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment.
* Review and refine event packages, menus, pricing, and promotional materials.
Marketing & Brand Integration
* Work with the Group Brand Manager and Group Digital Marketing Executives to shape event campaigns.
* Support the creation of brochures, digital content, landing pages, and advertising assets.
* Represent events strategy in commercial meetings and cross-property initiatives.
* Ensure the Byrne Collection brand identity is reflected consistently in all event materials.
