We are seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to join a National Road scheme located approximately 10km west of Dundalk, Co. Louth, commencing Summer 2026 for a duration of circa 14 months.Competitive salary depending on experience, strong opportunities for professional development, supportive team environment, exposure to major infrastructure delivery, and a company vehicle provided for the duration of the works.The RoleAs Senior Resident Engineer, you will lead site‑based supervision activities, ensuring quality, safety and compliance across all construction works. The Senior Resident Engineer will oversee contract administration, stakeholder and client liaison, and reporting, working closely with a Resident Engineer and Clerk of Works/Inspector.Key responsibilities include monitoring and inspection of roadworks, including pavement, drainage, structures, ducting, signage and lighting, along with administration of Public Works Contracts, processing valuations and assessing claims.RequirementsLevel 8 Degree in Civil EngineeringChartered Engineer status desirableStrong experience in roads or transport infrastructure projectsProven contract administration experience under Public Works ContractsExperience supervising and inspecting road construction worksProficient in AutoCAD (or similar) and Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication and reporting skillsStrong knowledge of Health & Safety regulationsFull driving licence and valid SafePass requiredAbout YouThe ideal Senior Resident Engineer is self‑motivated, organised and confident in leading a site team.
