Role Summary
Arcadis DPS Group is a global consulting, multidisciplinary engineering and construction management company specialising in the Project Management, Multi-Discipline Design and Construction Management of Pharmaceutical and Life Science Buildings. Our Dublin office is located in Citywest Business Campus.
We are seeking a qualified Senior Architectural Technologist to develop and deliver high‑impact design solutions for pharmaceutical and life science projects across Ireland and Europe.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be a senior member of the CSA Department, responsible for: 1) leading design and detailing work for Pharmaceutical, Medical Technologies and Life Science projects; 2) managing project stages from concept through to construction; 3) coordinating with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies; 4) producing BIM/Revit models and detailed construction drawings; 5) preparing tender documents and coordinating assemblies; 6) ensuring compliance with statutory consent processes and Building Control legislation.
Qualifications
3rd Level qualification in Architectural Technology.
Minimum 10 years post‑graduate experience in architectural technology, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
Relevant experience in Industrial/Pharmaceutical/Life Science projects and technical proficiency in detailing these building types.
Experience in mixed‑use commercial developments is considered advantageous.
Knowledge of cleanroom materials and familiarity with process or manufacturing equipment an advantage.
Fully proficient / high degree of competence in BIM/Revit is essential.
Excellent design, communication and organisational skills with a motivated enquiry‑driven approach.
Relevant technical experience and registration, or eligibility to register, with a suitable body.
Working knowledge of Irish Planning, Building Regulations and Building Control legislation.
High level IT proficiency and skills.
Self‑motivated, able to work within a Project Manager‑led team structure with at least 6 years post‑graduate experience.
Strong design, technical and construction knowledge for detail, design development, tender pack assembly and coordination.
In‑depth knowledge of Statutory Consent processes (Planning, FSCA, DAC), current Building Regulations and the BC(A)R process.
Experience in a client‑facing role is preferable but not essential; successful candidate will be involved in design and site meetings.
Ability to work to compressed schedules and target deadlines.
